España tiene un sistema político llamado monarquía parlamentaria. Esto significa que hay un rey y un gobierno.
El rey representa a España en actos oficiales, pero no tiene poder para gobernar. La persona que dirige el gobierno es el presidente. Él toma decisiones importantes con la ayuda de sus ministros.
El presidente pertenece a un partido político. Los ciudadanos votan en las elecciones para elegir al presidente y a los miembros del parlamento, que se llama las Cortes Generales. El parlamento tiene dos partes: el Congreso de los Diputados y el Senado.
