Text and translation

1. Op zaterdagochtend gaan Emma en David naar de stad om wat dingen te doen. On Saturday morning Emma and David go to the city to do some things.
2. Ze gaan eerst naar de apotheek naast het ziekenhuis. They first go to the pharmacy next to the hospital.
3. Emma heeft medicijnen nodig, en gelukkig is de apotheek al open. Emma needs medicine, and luckily the pharmacy is already open.
4. Daarna lopen ze naar het postkantoor, dat tegenover de supermarkt ligt. After that they walk to the post office, which is opposite the supermarket.
5. David wil een brief naar zijn werk sturen. David wants to send a letter to his work.
6. Het postkantoor is elke dag open vanaf negen uur. The post office is open every day from nine o'clock.
7. Na het postkantoor lopen ze naar de bibliotheek om een boek te lenen. After the post office they walk to the library to borrow a book.
8. De bibliotheek is nog dicht; die is open van elf uur tot zes uur 's avonds. The library is still closed; it is open from eleven o'clock to six in the evening.
9. Ze willen ook brood kopen bij de bakker, die naast de school op het plein staat. They also want to buy bread at the bakery, which is next to the school on the square.
10. Daarna gaan ze naar de supermarkt, want daar is een goede slagerij. After that they go to the supermarket, because there is a good butcher there.
11. Na het boodschappen doen nemen ze de bus van het station naar huis. After shopping they take the bus from the station to home.
