Steeds meer mensen werken vanuit huis. (More and more people are working from home.)
Soms is het maar één dag per week en soms is het hele huis de werkplek. (Sometimes it is just one day a week and sometimes the whole house is the workplace.)
Maar wie werkt er eigenlijk allemaal thuis? (But who actually works from home?)
In 2017 werkten ongeveer 3 miljoen mensen regelmatig thuis. (In 2017, about 3 million people regularly worked from home.)
Voor ongeveer 1,2 miljoen van hen is thuis ook echt hun vaste werkplek. (For about 1.2 million of them, home is also really their fixed workplace.)
Een groter deel werkt soms een dag thuis, met afspraken met hun baas. (A larger portion sometimes works one day from home, with agreements with their boss.)
Het kan ook eenmalig zijn, bijvoorbeeld als er een monteur langskomt en je thuis bent. (It can also be a one-time occurrence, for example if a technician comes by and you are at home.)
In de afgelopen vijf jaar is het aantal mensen dat thuiswerkt gestegen, van 34% naar 37%. (In the past five years, the number of people who work from home has increased, from 34% to 37%.)
Deze groei komt vooral doordat steeds meer vrouwen vanuit huis werken. (This growth is mainly due to more and more women working from home.)
Bij mannen is de toename ook zichtbaar, maar iets kleiner. (Among men, the increase is also visible but somewhat smaller.)
