Un texto corto de Juan Roig, el jefe de Mercadona, sobre cómo montar un negocio y cuál son las cosas que importan.

A short text by Juan Roig, the head of Mercadona, about how to start a business and what things matter.

Juan Roig, fundador de Mercadona, volvió a destacar la importancia de tener un negocio propio durante un acto en la Universitat de València. Según él, ser empresario es una forma de cumplir deseos y aportar valor a la sociedad. Insistió en que el sueño de emprender requiere esfuerzo, formación y mucha esperanza.

También animó a los jóvenes a montar un negocio, aunque tengan dudas al principio. Para Roig, lo esencial es convertir una idea en acción, rodearse de un buen socio, organizarse bien y ser constante. Su mensaje fue claro: con actitud optimista y trabajo diario, cualquier persona puede alcanzar sus objetivos.

Además, resaltó la importancia de la formación práctica y de herramientas como la gestoría para gestionar bien los impuestos, o el uso de una tarjeta de visita profesional para generar confianza desde el primer encuentro con una clienta o potencial inversor.

Juan Roig, founder of Mercadona, once again emphasised the importance of having your own business during an event at the Universitat de València. According to him, being an entrepreneur is a way of fulfilling desires and contributing value to society. He insisted that the dream of starting a business requires effort, training and a lot of hope.

He also encouraged young people to set up a business, even if they have doubts at first. For Roig, the key is to turn an idea into action, surround yourself with a good partner, get organised and be consistent. His message was clear: with an optimistic attitude and daily work, anyone can achieve their goals.

Additionally, he highlighted the importance of practical training and tools such as a management consultancy to properly handle taxes, or the use of a professional business card to build trust from the very first meeting with a client or potential investor.
