For example, the verb "поканя" (to invite) conjugates differently depending on person and tense, unlike English verbs that often require separate auxiliary verbs.
Bulgarian greetings are more varied: "Здрасти" is a casual "Hi", contrasting with English where "hi" can be equally informal. Also, Bulgarian uses specific words for "evening" greetings such as "добър вечер" which literally means "good evening" and is standard for polite greetings in evenings.
