  • prowadzić kampanię reklamową (to conduct an advertising campaign)
  • docierać do publiczności (to reach the audience)
  • promować produkt (to promote a product)

Useful Phrases

  • „Czy widziałeś tę nową reklamę?” – Have you seen that new commercial?
  • „Marka zyskała popularność dzięki kampanii reklamowej.” – The brand gained popularity thanks to the advertising campaign.
  • „Slogan reklamowy musi być zapamiętywalny.” – The advertising slogan must be memorable.

Important Differences Between English and Polish Advertising Vocabulary

While many advertising terms have direct equivalents, Polish often uses phrases formed with verbs that pair closely with nouns, such as prowadzić kampanię (conduct a campaign) rather than a simple verb like "to advertise." Additionally, the word reklama covers various advertising formats that might be distinguished in English (advertisement, commercial, ad), so context is key.

Also, unlike English, where "publicity" often means general media exposure, publiczność in Polish refers specifically to the audience rather than publicity itself. For "publicity," Poles often use phrases like nagłośnienie or specify the kind of media exposure.
