Spanish A2.31.1 What would you do if you had a year off work?

Imagina que tienes un año libre, sin trabajo ni preocupaciones. ¿Qué harías con ese tiempo? ¿Viajarías? ¿Cambiarías de vida? ¿O simplemente descansarías? Hemos hablado con tres personas para saber qué harían.

Sofía, 35 años – Diseñadora gráfica
"Siempre he soñado con escribir un libro. Trabajo muchas horas frente al ordenador, así que si tuviera un año libre, me iría a una cabaña en el bosque, sin internet, solo con libros, silencio y café. Mi plan sería escribir una novela y hacer un proyecto creativo con calma. También querría cuidar mi salud: pasear, dormir bien y comer sin prisas. Para mí, ese año sería el comienzo de algo nuevo."

Carlos, 42 años – Mecánico
"Viajar por el mundo sería mi sueño. Nunca he salido de España y siempre me ha parecido difícil. Desde joven he querido conocer otros países. Quisiera vivir una aventura de verdad, conocer gente, aprender idiomas y descubrir lugares nuevos. También me gustaría vivir un tiempo en otro país. No quisiera llegar al final de mi vida sin haber conocido más sitios."

Marina, 29 años – Profesora de primaria
"Creo que todos deberíamos aprender a parar. Mi trabajo es muy intenso. Me gustaría pasar tiempo con mi familia, aprender a cocinar y simplemente disfrutar el momento, sin pensar en todo lo que viene después. Tal vez estudiar algo nuevo, sin presión. Descansar también es avanzar."

Imagine you have a free year, without work or worries. What would you do with that time? Would you travel? Would you change your life? Or would you simply rest? We have talked to three people to find out what they would do.<\/p>

Sofía, 35 years old – Graphic designer
"I have always dreamed of writing a book. I work many hours in front of the computer, so if I had a free year, I would go to a cabin in the forest, without internet, only with books, silence, and coffee. My plan would be to write a novel and do a creative project calmly. I would also want to take care of my health: walk, sleep well, and eat without hurry. For me, that year would be the beginning of something new."<\/p>

Carlos, 42 years old – Mechanic
"Traveling the world would be my dream. I have never left Spain and it has always seemed difficult. Since I was young, I have wanted to know other countries. I would like to live a real adventure, meet people, learn languages, and discover new places. I would also like to live for a while in another country. I wouldn’t want to reach the end of my life without having seen more places."<\/p>

Marina, 29 years old – Primary school teacher
"I think we should all learn to stop. My job is very intense. I would like to spend time with my family, learn to cook and simply enjoy the moment, without thinking about everything that comes after. Maybe study something new, without pressure. Resting is also moving forward."<\/p>
