Autoverhuur is in Nederland goed geregeld en vrij toegankelijk, vooral op luchthavens, stations en in steden. In de video krijg je meer info over autoverhuur; onder andere het betalen en terugkrijgen van borg en wat het eigen risico is.
Car rental is well organised and easily accessible in the Netherlands, especially at airports, stations and in cities. The video provides more information about car rental; including paying and getting the deposit back and what the excess is.

Bij alle autoverhuurbedrijven moet je eerst een borg betalen. (At all car rental companies, you must first pay a deposit.)
Je krijgt een mooie, nieuwe auto mee en we willen dat je er goed voor zorgt. (You get a nice, new car and we want you to take good care of it.)
Soms geven mensen de auto met schade terug. Een ongeluk is snel gebeurd. (Sometimes people return the car with damage. An accident can happen quickly.)
Gelukkig zijn wij verzekerd, maar net als bij een gewone verzekering betaal je een eigen risico. (Fortunately, we are insured, but just like with a regular insurance, you pay an excess.)
Bij schade is het eigen risico meestal 750 euro. (In case of damage, the excess is usually 750 euros.)
Vind je dat te veel? Voor 9 euro per dag kun je het eigen risico verlagen naar 350 euro. (Do you find that too much? For 9 euros per day, you can reduce the excess to 350 euros.)
Het bedrag van de borg is hetzelfde als jouw eigen risico. (The amount of the deposit is the same as your excess.)
Kies je geen verlaging, dan is de borg 750 euro. (If you don't choose a reduction, the deposit is 750 euros.)
Kies je wel voor verlaging, dan is de borg 350 euro. (If you do choose a reduction, the deposit is 350 euros.)
Als je de auto netjes zonder schade terugbrengt en er geen extra kosten zijn, krijg je de borg meteen terug op je rekening of op je creditcard. (If you return the car neatly without damage and there are no extra costs, you get the deposit back immediately on your account or credit card.)
Zo kun je veilig je huurcontract afsluiten. (This way you can safely conclude your rental contract.)
