Lisa and Tom talk about how they plan their December holidays and what activities they do during the festivities such as Christmas, New Year's Eve and New Year.
1. Tom: Hola, Lisa, ¿ya sabes qué vas a hacer en las vacaciones? (Hello, Lisa, do you already know what you are going to do on vacation?)
2. Lisa: Hola, Tom, sí, voy a ir a Alemania para pasar la Navidad con mi familia. (Hello, Tom, yes, I am going to Germany to spend Christmas with my family.)
3. Tom: ¡Qué bien! Yo también estoy pensando en mis vacaciones. Me voy dentro de tres días. (How nice! I am also thinking about my vacation. I am leaving in three days.)
4. Lisa: Yo salgo el 20 de diciembre. Este año quiero disfrutar del fin de semana antes de las fiestas. (I leave on December 20th. This year I want to enjoy the weekend before the holidays.)
5. Tom: ¿Y cómo vas a celebrar la Nochevieja? (And how are you going to celebrate New Year's Eve?)
6. Lisa: Con mi familia. Vamos a salir, tomar algo y luego volver a casa para cenar y jugar a juegos de mesa. ¿Y tú? (With my family. We are going out, having a drink, and then returning home to have dinner and play board games. And you?)
7. Tom: Yo también. Quiero recibir el Año Nuevo feliz y con la familia. (Me too. I want to welcome the New Year happily and with family.)
8. Lisa: Sí, yo tampoco me gusta planear mucho, prefiero que las cosas pasen naturalmente. (Yes, I also don’t like to plan too much, I prefer things to happen naturally.)
9. Tom: Por cierto, ¿vuelves antes del 6 de enero? Así podemos celebrar algo juntos. (By the way, are you coming back before January 6th? That way we can celebrate something together.)
10. Lisa: Claro, veremos cuándo regreso. (Sure, we’ll see when I return.)
11. Tom: Perfecto. Me tengo que ir, que disfrutes mucho tus vacaciones. (Perfect. I have to go now, enjoy your vacation a lot.)
