Text and translation

1. Luis siempre ha soñado con trabajar en un laboratorio y conseguir un doctorado. Luis has always dreamed of working in a laboratory and getting a doctorate.
2. Pero ahora está desempleado y busca trabajo en un despacho de abogados. But now he is unemployed and looking for a job in a law firm.
3. No tiene estudios en Derecho. He has no studies in Law.
4. Después de varias entrevistas, lo contratan como empleado temporal. After several interviews, they hire him as a temporary employee.
5. El primer día en su departamento, Luis está nervioso y comete algunos errores. On his first day in his department, Luis is nervous and makes some mistakes.
6. Al final, el jefe decide despedirlo, y Luis se siente triste. In the end, the boss decides to fire him, and Luis feels sad.
7. Piensa que quizá debería haber buscado trabajo en otro sitio, pero ya es tarde. He thinks that maybe he should have looked for a job somewhere else, but it is already too late.
8. Ahora entiende que la realidad del trabajo no siempre es como la imaginamos y que a veces nos equivocamos. Now he understands that the reality of work is not always as we imagine it and that sometimes we are wrong.
9. Está desempleado y decide que la próxima vez buscará un trabajo que esté más relacionado con sus sueños y su formación. He is unemployed and decides that next time he will look for a job more related to his dreams and training.
10. Tiene miedo de no haber cumplido sus sueños cuando se jubile. He is afraid of not having fulfilled his dreams when he retires.
