This is learning module 3 of 6 of our Dutch A2 syllabus. Each learning module contains 6 till 8 chapters.

Learning goals:

  • Dental extractions and postoperative instructions
  • Periodontal care: prophylaxis, scaling/root planing and principles of hygiene
  • Types and indications of fixed prostheses and removable dentures

  • Give instructions after extraction to prevent complications.

Learning goals

  • Describe the clinical procedure for fixed prostheses (zirconia, ceramic-metal, metal)
  • Write notes otes for the laboratory

Dentistry:13 Uitneembare kunstgebitten: typen, indicaties en hygiëne (Removable dentures: types, indications and hygiene)

Learning goals

  • Differentiate between removable skeletal, resin and complete dentures, with their indications
  • Present the advantages/disadvantages of each option and the criteria for choosing between them
  • Teach hygiene and maintenance instructions for removable dentures

  • Explain the diagnosis to the patient and develop a treatment plan.
