Dutch Nursing module 5: Ethics in healthcare (Ethics in healthcare)

This is learning module 5 of 6 of our Dutch B1 syllabus. Each learning module contains 6 till 8 chapters.

  • Get to know healthcare institutions, referrals, community care, and patient rights
  • Apply ergonomic techniques and preventive measures in daily care
  • Communicate respectfully across cultures and with patients with sensory or memory limitations
  • Reflect on their performance, use feedback, and follow ethical and legal guidelines

  • Describe preventive nursing actions (falls, thrombosis)
  • Vocabulary: care equipment, ergonomic techniques, body care tools, prophylaxis, mobility belts, anti-slip materials

Nursing 25 - Culturele achtergrond (Cultural background)

  • Communicate with clients from diverse cultures
  • Support residents with hearing or memory problems
  • Vocabulary: cultural differences, communication styles, hearing/memory problems, supportive communication strategies

Nursing 26 - Ethische en kwalitatieve zorg (Ethical and quality care)

  • Handle ethical dilemmas in everyday nursing practice
