Samo słowo „Sto lat!” mówimy przy życzeniach, np. szczęścia i wszystkiego najlepszego. Można też powiedzieć „Sto lat!” jako toast albo kiedy ktoś kicha.
We say just the word "Sto lat!" when giving wishes, for example, for happiness and all the best. You can also say "Sto lat!" as a toast or when someone sneezes.

Rodzina i znajomi zaczynają śpiewać: „Sto lat, sto lat, niech żyje, żyje nam!”. (Family and friends start to sing: "Sto lat, sto lat, niech żyje, żyje nam!".)
Śpiewają głośno i klaszczą w dłonie. (They sing loudly and clap their hands.)
Potem ktoś mówi: „Jeszcze raz!” i wszyscy znowu śpiewają „Sto lat”. (Then someone says, "One more time!" and everyone sings "Sto lat" again.)
Na końcu rodzice składają dziecku życzenia i mówią: „Wszystkiego najlepszego z okazji urodzin!”. (At the end the parents give the child their wishes and say, "Happy birthday!".)
Wszyscy pytają też: „Ile masz lat?” i „Kiedy masz urodziny?”. (Everyone also asks, "How old are you?" and "When is your birthday?".)
Dorośli rozmawiają o swoich urodzinach i datach urodzin dzieci. (Adults talk about their own birthdays and about the children's birth dates.)
