Giulia è una manager italiana e lavora a Milano in una multinazionale. Un suo collega straniero, Mark, vive in Italia da poco tempo. Mark scrive una email all’ufficio HR per capire meglio il calendario delle ferie.
Nell’email Mark dice:
«Buongiorno,
ho guardato il calendario aziendale, ma ho ancora una domanda. L’ufficio è chiuso a e a ? Io vorrei prendere una in inverno. Penso di non lavorare il 24 e il 31 dicembre. In molti Paesi il 24 dicembre è molto importante.
In Italia come funzionano le feste di dicembre? L’ufficio chiude anche per e per la ? Vorrei organizzare un piccolo viaggio in montagna. Posso usare i miei giorni di ferie dal 27 al 30 dicembre?

L’ufficio HR risponde che l’azienda è chiusa il 25 e il 26 dicembre, il 1 gennaio e a . Per gli altri giorni Mark deve usare le sue ferie personali. Così può organizzare il suo viaggio e dire ai colleghi: « ».Giulia is an Italian manager and works in Milan for a multinational company. A foreign colleague of hers, Mark, has only recently moved to Italy. Mark writes an email to HR to better understand the holiday schedule.
In the email Mark says:
«Good morning,
I looked at the company calendar, but I still have a question. Is the office closed for Christmas and Easter ? I would like to take a vacation in winter. I don’t think I’ll be working on December 24 and 31. In many countries December 24 is very important.
How do the December holidays work in Italy? Does the office also close for New Year’s Day and for New Year’s Eve ? I would like to organize a short trip to the mountains. Can I use my vacation days from December 27 to 30?

HR replies that the company is closed on December 25 and 26, on January 1, and on Easter Monday . For the other days Mark must use his personal vacation days. That way he can organize his trip and say to his colleagues: « Happy New Year! ».
