In the dental clinic, the Code of Ethics requires informing the patient and requesting their informed consent before treatment. The professional must explain the plan and the budget, and refer to a specialist if the case requires it.

It also establishes the obligation to maintain confidentiality and professional secrecy. Clear records must be kept and regulations must be followed. If a dentist detects a serious irregularity, they must report it through the clinic’s channels.
