Hola, Dra.

Gracias,
Laura

Hello, Dr. Martín:

My name is Laura Gómez. On Monday I had a root canal on a molar. Today I have a bit of tooth sensitivity when chewing and I’m worried about whether that is normal. I also wanted to know if I need a follow-up and when I should come back to check the progress. They told me that they may need a follow-up X-ray.

Could you tell me what care I should take this week and whether I can book an afternoon appointment?

Thank you,
Laura

Hola, Laura:

Dra. Martín

Hello, Laura:

Thank you for your message. After a root canal, it is normal to have tooth sensitivity for a few days, especially when chewing. I recommend that you chew on the opposite side and avoid very hard or hot foods. If you notice severe pain, swelling, or fever, call us the same day.

It is important to do a follow-up to check the progress. We can take a follow-up X-ray. I have appointments available on Thursday at 17:30 and Friday at 18:00. Which do you prefer?

Best regards,
Dr. Martín
