Asunto: Cita el jueves 18:20 - higiene dental
Hola Marta,
Saludos,
Clínica Dental Río - Laura (recepción)
Subject: Appointment on Thursday 18:20 - dental hygiene
Hi Marta,
We are confirming your appointment on Thursday at 18:20 for a prophylaxis (cleaning). At the last visit we saw plaque and a bit of gum bleeding. The hygienist is going to inspect your mouth and measure the depth of the gums. If there is tartar under the gum, we may recommend scaling and root planing at another appointment (with local anesthesia).
Can you confirm if you are coming? If you take medication, let us know.
Regards,

Ahora uso cepillo y a veces hilo dental.
No tomo medicación.
Gracias y saludos,
Marta
Hi Laura,
Yes, I confirm my appointment on Thursday at 18:20.
I have a question: what is the difference between a prophylaxis (cleaning) and scaling and root planing? Is it because there is tartar under the gum? Also, what do you recommend to control plaque at home? I currently use a toothbrush and sometimes dental floss.
I do not take any medication.
Thank you and regards,
Marta
