Starting Monday, the unit is adding dispensers of hydroalcoholic solution and powder-free disposable gloves. Hand hygiene is reminded before and after each contact and the use of PPE according to risk. During transfers, use the transfer belt and ask for support if the patient is unstable. To prevent falls, check the floor, place non-slip mats, and leave the walker nearby with the brakes on. In patients with reduced mobility, apply measures to avoid thrombosis (mobilization and, if prescribed, prophylaxis) and record the action on the care sheet.

En las movilizaciones revisaré la sujeción segura con el cinturón de transferencia y ajustaré la altura de la cama para mantener una postura correcta y prevenir caídas. También tendré en cuenta las medidas para evitar la trombosis en pacientes encamados.

Solo una duda: si el paciente se levanta con ayuda pero está inestable, ¿preferís que usemos siempre el cinturón de transferencia o primero lo valoramos y probamos con el andador del servicio?

I confirm that I have read the reminder. Starting Monday I will use the alcohol-based hand sanitizer and disposable gloves in each room, and the surgical mask and PPE when appropriate.

During mobilizations I will check the safe securing with the transfer belt and adjust the bed height to maintain correct posture and prevent falls. I will also keep in mind the measures to avoid thrombosis in bedridden patients.

Just one question: if the patient gets up with assistance but is unstable, would you prefer that we always use the transfer belt or should we assess first and try with the unit’s walker?
