In unserer Zahnarztpraxis erklären wir Patienten die verschiedenen herausnehmbaren . Eine Modellguss‑ hat ein Metallgerüst. Sie ist stabil, gibt gute und hält oft sehr gut an den eigenen Zähnen. Eine Kunststoff‑Teilprothese ist günstiger und kann man schneller , aber sie ist dicker und oft weniger bequem. Eine braucht man, wenn keine Zähne mehr im Kiefer sind.
Für eine gute und einen sicheren Halt sind die und Pflege sehr wichtig. Die Prothese muss man jeden Tag und mit einer weichen Bürste reinigen. Nachts soll der Patient sie in Wasser legen. Das und die Schleimhäute im Mund müssen sauber und gesund sein. Bei Druckstellen oder Schmerzen soll der Patient sofort in die Praxis kommen, damit der Zahnarzt die Prothese kontrollieren und reparieren kann.At our dental practice we explain the different removable dentures to patients. A cast-metal partial denture has a metal framework. It is stable, provides good chewing function and often adheres well to the patient’s own teeth. A plastic partial denture is less expensive and can be adapted more quickly, but it is bulkier and often less comfortable. A complete denture is needed when there are no teeth left in the jaw.
For good aesthetics and a secure fit, cleaning and maintenance are very important. The denture must be removed every day and cleaned with a soft brush. At night the patient should store it in water. The denture-bearing area and the oral mucosa must be kept clean and healthy. If there are sore spots or pain, the patient should come to the practice immediately so the dentist can examine and, if necessary, adjust or repair the denture.
