At the start we take a short medical history: we ask about allergies, previous treatments, and whether your child is experiencing any pain. Your child can look at the treatment chair first and have a short “trial sit.” That comforts many children.

Next comes the examination. We check the teeth and gums and explain everything in simple terms. If necessary, we will take an X-ray. We often find early cavities; in that case we discuss a filling. For baby teeth we frequently recommend a sealant for protection. We also offer preventive care for children and tips on brushing. During a treatment we can use a local anesthetic — this is usually painless.
