Dr. Weber is a pediatric dentist in Berlin. Today she has a new little patient. The boy's name is Leo and he is four years old. His mother is with him at the practice.

First they go to the reception. The assistant asks for the health insurance and the address. The mother fills out a consent form. Then Leo and his mother wait in the waiting room. Leo is nervous and says, “I'm a little scared.” The mother says, “Don't worry, it won't hurt.”

Dr. Weber calls Leo in and explains calmly: “Today we'll just do a short check-up. I'll count your teeth and see if everything is okay. If you want, you can hold the mirror.” Leo sits in the chair. His mother stays beside him and holds his hand.

Dr. Weber examines Leo's teeth and does a small cleaning. She explains everything slowly: “Now some water is coming, now we'll suction the water away.” Leo doesn't feel any pain. At the end he gets a toothbrush and a sticker. Dr. Weber schedules a follow-up check-up and tells the mother how she can brush Leo's teeth well at home.
