Comparing Bulgarian and English for Everyday Services
Unlike English, Bulgarian uses different sentence structures and verb forms when asking questions about availability or location. For example, the verb "работи" (works/opens) is used in questions about whether a place is open, which contrasts with the English auxiliary 'does' or 'is.' Bulgarian places the question word at the beginning: "Къде се намира..." (Where is...), which is similar to English but accompanied by verb conjugations specific to the subject.
Additionally, Bulgarian prepositions such as "близо до" (close to) are commonly used to describe locations relative to other places, which is similar to English but can differ in noun-adjective agreement and word order.
