Днес Мария е в супермаркета „Евро Маркет“ в София. Тя иска да купи хляб, сирене и кафе. До всеки продукт има етикет с цена в левове. На един етикет пише: „Хляб – 2,10 лв.“, на друг: „Сирене – 12,50 лв. за килограм“. До има малък надпис: „Приемаме плащане и с . Не приемаме .“

Мария отива на . Касиерката сканира продуктите и казва: „Общо 23,40 лв.“ Мария няма достатъчно пари в брой и пита: „Мога ли да платя с ?“ Касиерката кимва и казва: „Да, разбира се.“ След плащането Мария получава и го слага в портфейла си. Тя гледа сметката и си мисли: „В България цените са различни. Някои неща са евтини, други са по-скъпи.“

Today Maria is at the "Euro Market" supermarket in Sofia. She wants to buy bread, cheese and coffee. Each product has a price tag showing the price in leva. One tag says: "Bread – 2.10 lv.", another: "Cheese – 12.50 lv. per kilogram". At the checkout there is a small sign: "We accept payments in cash and by card. We do not accept checks."

Maria goes to the checkout. The cashier scans the items and says: "Total 23.40 lv." Maria does not have enough cash and asks: "Can I pay by card?" The cashier nods and says: "Yes, of course." After paying, Maria receives a receipt and puts it in her wallet. She looks at the bill and thinks: "In Bulgaria prices are different. Some things will not be cheap, others are more expensive."
