Instruction: Write a reply to the following message appropriate to the situation
Email: You receive an email from your colleague nurse who is handing over before your night shift; reply to confirm you will take charge of the patient and ask your questions about their condition.
Objet : Transmission – chambre 214, M. Ahmed
Bonjour Claire,
Voici le rapport de relève pour M. Ahmed, chambre 214.
- État du patient : patient conscient, orienté, état général stable.
- Signes vitaux : fréquence cardiaque 82/min, tension artérielle 130/80, température 37,4°C.
- Douleur : 3/10 à la jambe droite, surtout quand il marche.
- Médication : paracétamol 1 g à administrer à 22h, si la douleur augmente.
- Surveillance : merci de surveiller la douleur cette nuit et d’évaluer les signes vitaux à minuit.
Il faut aussi informer le médecin de garde si la douleur est plus de 5/10 ou si la tension change beaucoup.
Peux-tu me renseigner demain matin, par un petit compte rendu rapide, sur l’évolution de la douleur ?

Pendant mon service, j’ai surveillé la douleur et les signes vitaux comme demandé. À 22h, la douleur est montée à 5/10, donc j’ai administré 1 g de paracétamol. À minuit, la fréquence cardiaque était 80/min, la tension artérielle 125/78 et la température 37,3°C. L’état du patient est resté stable.
À 1h, la douleur est descendue à 2/10. Je n’ai pas eu besoin d’informer le médecin de garde, car la tension et la douleur étaient correctes.
J’ai une question : veux-tu que je continue la même surveillance cette nuit aussi, ou seulement jusqu’à demain matin ?

During my shift, I monitored the pain and the vital signs as requested. At 10:00 PM the pain rose to 5/10, so I administered 1 g of paracetamol. At midnight, the heart rate was 80/min, blood pressure 125/78 and temperature 37.3°C. The patient's condition remained stable.
At 1:00 AM, the pain decreased to 2/10. I did not need to inform the on-call doctor because the blood pressure and pain were within acceptable limits.
I have a question: would you like me to continue the same monitoring overnight as well, or only until tomorrow morning?
