Follow aseptic technique and avoid an accidental intravenous injection. Merci pour la transmission. Je prends en charge M. Martin ce matin. Vu la pression artérielle à 98/60 et le rythme à 54 sous bêtabloquant, je vais mesurer la tension et le pouls avant l'injection, puis 30 minutes après, et informer le médecin si la tension baisse encore ou si le pouls reste bas.
Pour l'injection intramusculaire à 10 h, je privilégie le site ventroglutéal en raison de l'âge et de la masse musculaire réduite, en respectant la technique d'asepsie. Je vérifierai aussi l'absence de saignement et la douleur au point d'injection.
Concernant la nutrition, j'évaluerai les signes de malnutrition, discuterai avec lui de son appétit et de l'adhérence au régime, et je proposerai de contacter le diététicien si nécessaire.

Thank you for the handover. I am taking over Mr Martin’s care this morning. Given the blood pressure of 98/60 and the heart rate of 54 on a beta-blocker, I will measure blood pressure and pulse before the injection, then 30 minutes afterwards, and inform the doctor if the blood pressure drops further or if the pulse remains low.
For the intramuscular injection at 10 a.m., I will prioritize the ventrogluteal site due to his age and reduced muscle mass, while following aseptic technique. I will also check for any bleeding and pain at the injection site.
Regarding nutrition, I will assess for signs of malnutrition, talk with him about his appetite and adherence to the diet, and I will suggest contacting the dietitian if necessary.
