Medicatieoverzicht en afval in het verpleeghuis
Op het intranet van het verpleeghuis staat een bericht over mevrouw Jansen. Zij krijgt vandaag een nieuw tegen pijn. In het staat: 's ochtends tablet bij het ontbijt, met water innemen. De verpleegkundige controleert ook de op de verpakking.
Let op: geef geen extra paracetamol als mevrouw al dit middel krijgt. In de staat dat er een kan zijn met bloedverdunners. Meld duizeligheid of misselijkheid als aan de arts en noteer het in het dossier. Lege verpakkingen horen bij het , niet bij het gewone afval.On the nursing home intranet there is a message about Mrs. Jansen. Today she is receiving a new medicine for pain. The medication overview says: in the morning one tablet with breakfast, take with water. The nurse also checks the expiry date on the packaging.
Note: do not give extra paracetamol if the lady is already taking this medicine. The leaflet states that there may be an interaction with blood thinners. Report dizziness or nausea as a side effect to the doctor and record it in the file. Empty packages belong with medical waste, not with regular waste.

Medicatie-uitleg bij ontslag
Verpleegkundige (Sanne): Show Meneer De Jong, hier is uw medicatie-overzicht en het recept voor de apotheek; u begint vanavond met dit geneesmiddel: slik één tablet bij het avondeten.
(Mr. De Jong, here is your medication overview and the prescription for the pharmacy; you start this evening with this medicine: take one tablet with dinner.)
Patiënt (Meneer De Jong): Show Oke, en als ik pijn heb, mag ik dan ook paracetamol nemen, of is daar een wisselwerking mee?
