Vanaf volgende week werken we met een nieuw op de afdeling. Handhygiëne blijft de basis: draag bij wondzorg en gebruik volgens het wondzorgprotocol. Bij elke cliënt noteer je bijzonderheden in de dagelijkse zorgplanning en voer je, indien nodig, een observatie van vitale functies uit. Controleer ook of het schoon en droog is; vervang het direct bij lekkage.

Voor veilig verplaatsen gebruiken we standaard de en een . Let op je : sta dicht bij de cliënt, buig door je knieën en vermijd draaibewegingen. Bij een verhoogd valrisico leg je klaar en vul je het in. Denk daarnaast aan : stimuleer regelmatig bewegen of oefen samen de enkelpomp volgens de afspraken in het dossier. Meld onveilige situaties meteen bij de coördinerend verpleegkundige.
Starting next week we will use a new hygiene system on the ward. Hand hygiene remains the foundation: wear disposable gloves during wound care and use disinfectant spray according to the wound care protocol. For each client, note any relevant details in the daily care plan and, if necessary, carry out an observation of vital signs. Also check that the patient sheet is clean and dry; replace it immediately if there is any leakage.

For safe transfers we routinely use the mobility belt and a transfer aid. Pay attention to your ergonomic posture: stand close to the client, bend your knees and avoid twisting movements. If there is an increased risk of falling, have non-slip material ready and complete the risk assessment form. Also consider thrombosis prophylaxis: encourage regular movement or practise the ankle-pump exercise together according to the agreements in the file. Report unsafe situations immediately to the coordinating nurse.
