For clients with limited mobility, we will also discuss anti-thrombosis stockings. After the training, the new care protocol applies and we use the fall reporting procedure in the event of an incident.

Vanaf volgende week werken we op de afdeling met nieuwe hulpmiddelen: wegwerphandschoenen, hygiënische doekjes en een transferriem (voor veilige verplaatsingen). In het zorgprotocol is de stap voor valpreventie aangepast: bij elke transfer controleren we of de anti-slipmat goed ligt en noteert de dienstdoende collega dit kort op de observatiekaart.
Er is een korte training op dinsdag om 15.30 uur in de teamkamer (30 min). Kun jij erbij zijn? Laat ook weten of je al ervaring hebt met een transferriem.

Dear colleague,
Starting next week, we will be working on the ward with new aids: disposable gloves, hygienic wipes and a transfer belt (for safe transfers). In the care protocol, the step for fall prevention has been adjusted: with every transfer we check whether the anti-slip mat is positioned properly and the colleague on duty notes this briefly on the observation card.
There is a short training on Tuesday at 3:30 pm in the team room (30 min). Can you be there? Also let me know whether you already have experience with a transfer belt.
