Invited are the team leader, the ward manager, the nursing staff, the junior doctors and consultants, the therapists, and the case manager. The purpose is to review the treatment plan together and set priorities for the week.
The team leader chairs the meeting and monitors the time. Each nurse gives a brief presentation of a patient. After that, all staff may make suggestions and contribute as a team. It is important that everyone knows and respects their role. Attendance at the case conference will be noted in the duty roster and is mandatory for all nursing staff.
