Ein AED hängt im Flur neben dem Dienstzimmer.
Notice – Ward 3B

If an incident occurs (e.g. verbal abuse, a threat or physical aggression), remain calm and keep your distance. Speak briefly and clearly. If the situation is unsafe, inform security. Report the incident to the responsible nurse and write a report: What happened? Who was involved? Is there a witness statement?

In emergencies, provide first aid and call emergency services if necessary. For low blood sugar (hypoglycaemia), give sugar quickly if the person is responsive. In a seizure, protect the head and remove dangerous objects. For an allergic reaction or a state of shock: lay the person flat, keep them warm and get help. An AED is mounted in the corridor next to the staff room.

Hallo Frau Neumann,<br><br>ich war gestern um ca. 16:10 Uhr im Wartebereich. Ich habe gesehen, dass ein Besucher sehr laut war und an der Anmeldung stritt. Ich blieb ruhig, sprach mit ihm und bat ihn, an den Sitzplätzen zu warten, damit die Situation sich nicht weiter eskaliert. Ich hielt Abstand und bat eine Kollegin, den Sicherheitsdienst zu informieren.<br><br>Kurz danach wurde eine Patientin blass und sagte, ihr sei schwindlig.
