Exercise 1: Writing correspondence
Instruction: Write a reply to the following message appropriate to the situation
E-mail: You receive an email from the dental laboratory about a new denture for a patient; reply with clear but simple instructions about the material, colour and any adjustments.
Geachte tandarts,
Wij hebben de afdruk en de gebitsscan voor uw patiënt ontvangen. Kunt u ons nog extra informatie sturen over de gewenste prothese?
- Wilt u een kunsthars basis of een metalen basis?
- Welke tandkleur heeft u nodig (bijvoorbeeld A2 of A3)?
- Moeten wij iets speciaal aanpassen aan het model of aan de pasvorm?
Als u dit bevestigt, maken wij eerst een proefstuk en sturen we dat naar u terug ter controle.

Oefening 6: Conversation exercise
Instructie:
- De patiënt wil een endodontisch behandeld element (24) restaureren met een zirconia kroon. Welke stappen zou je volgen om een zirconia kroon te maken, en in hoeveel afspraken? (The patient wants to restore an endodontically treated tooth (24) with a zirconia crown. Which steps would you follow to make a zirconia crown, and in how many appointments?)
- Beschrijf de laboratoriumnota die u zou versturen om het plaatstuk (PMMA) aan te vragen. (Describe the LABORATORY NOTE you would send to request the PLASTIC TRY-IN (PMMA).)
- Als de kunststof proefplaatsing open contactpunten had, wat zou u dan doen? Hoe zou u de notitie naar het laboratorium schrijven om de fout te corrigeren? (If the plastic try-in had open contact points, what would you do? How would you write the note to the laboratory to correct the error?)
