In onze tandartspraktijk schrijven we recepten meestal digitaal. Controleer altijd eerst de naam en het adres van de patiënt en vraag naar . Noteer per maar één medicijn. Schrijf de duidelijk op: hoeveel per keer, hoe vaak per dag en wat de maximale dosering per 24 uur is. Bij twijfel: overleg met de apotheek.

We gebruiken vaak pijnstilling, zoals paracetamol (bijv. ), en bij een infectie soms . Bij een penicilline-allergie is een alternatief. Zet ook de wijze van erbij, bijvoorbeeld “innemen met water” of “na de maaltijd”. Controleer extra bij patiënten. Het recept is pas geldig met een volledige van de voorschrijver.
In our dental practice we usually issue prescriptions digitally. Always check the patient’s name and address first, and ask about any allergies. Record only one medication per prescription. Write the dosage clearly: how much to take each time, how often per day, and what the maximum dosage is in a 24‑hour period. If in doubt, consult the pharmacy.

We commonly use pain relief such as paracetamol (e.g. Doliprane), and for an infection sometimes amoxicillin. For patients with a penicillin allergy, clindamycin is an alternative. Also indicate the route of administration, for example “take with water” or “after a meal.” Take extra care with pregnant patients. The prescription is only valid with the prescriber’s full signature.

Controleer eerst de allergieën. Vraag of ze allergisch is voor penicilline of amoxicilline. First check her allergies. Ask whether she is allergic to penicillin or amoxicillin. If there is no penicillin allergy and it is clinically appropriate, I can prescribe Clamoxyl (amoxicillin): 500 mg, one capsule three times daily for 5 days. If she is penicillin-allergic, do not give amoxicillin; then I will consider an alternative such as Dalacin.

Also ask whether she is sure she is pregnant or has done a pregnancy test. Briefly explain possible side effects: stomach or intestinal complaints, diarrhea, skin rash. If she develops a rash or breathing difficulties, contact us immediately.

Ensure the prescription includes: the patient’s name, date of birth and address, the date, my name and full signature. Only one medication should be listed per prescription.
