Une carie profonde peut aller jusqu'au nerf et toucher la pulpe. Le dentiste enlève la partie malade et travaille dans les canaux. Il mesure la longueur et prépare les canaux, puis il les désinfecte. Ensuite, il les ferme avec de la gutta-percha. Enfin, il fait une restauration au composite et la polymérisation pour retrouver une dent solide et naturelle.

Vous pouvez voir que cette carie a attaqué une molaire et qu'elle est allée jusqu'au nerf. (You can see that this cavity has attacked a molar and that it went all the way to the nerve.)
Elle a franchi l'émail, puis la dentine, pour atteindre la pulpe. (It passed through the enamel, then the dentin, to reach the pulp.)
Il y a également une petite carie au-dessus, beaucoup plus superficielle. (There is also a small cavity above, much more superficial.)
Le praticien utilise d'abord une lime avec un instrument d'analyse afin de mesurer en temps réel la longueur des canaux. (The practitioner first uses a file with an analysis instrument in order to measure the length of the canals in real time.)
Une fois cette longueur déterminée, il met en forme les canaux à l'aide d'instruments rotatifs adaptés. (Once this length is determined, he shapes the canals using suitable rotary instruments.)
Après la désinfection, les canaux sont obturés avec des cônes de gutta-percha pour assurer une obturation étanche et propre. (After disinfection, the canals are filled with gutta-percha cones to ensure a tight and clean seal.)
Ensuite, une restauration au composite est réalisée. (Then, a composite restoration is performed.)
Le praticien reconstitue l'esthétique de la dent en sculptant les sillons et les cuspides pour un résultat naturel. (The practitioner restores the tooth’s aesthetics by sculpting the grooves and cusps for a natural result.)
Le composite est polymérisé, puis poli. Le résultat final est esthétique et fonctionnel. (The composite is polymerized, then polished. The final result is aesthetic and functional.)

1. Le dentiste: Je vais vous expliquer mon protocole d'endodontie, comme ça vous saurez quoi préparer à chaque étape. (I'm going to explain my endodontic protocol to you, so you'll know what to prepare at each step.)
2. L'assistante: Très bien, docteur, je vous écoute. (Very well, doctor, I'm listening.)
3. Le dentiste: D'abord, il me faut la turbine avec une fraise ronde diamantée pour l'accès initial. (First, I need the turbine with a diamond round bur for the initial access.)
4. L'assistante: Et ensuite ? (And then?)
5. Le dentiste: Ensuite, vous me passez la fraise ENDO-Z pour élargir sans toucher le plancher caméral. (Then, you hand me the ENDO-Z bur to widen without touching the pulp chamber floor.)
6. L'assistante: D'accord. Puis les limes manuelles 08 et 10 avec la règle endodontique ? (Alright. Then the manual files 08 and 10 with the endodontic ruler?)
7. Le dentiste: Exactement. Préparez aussi la seringue d'hypochlorite avec une aiguille latérale. (Exactly. Also prepare the hypochlorite syringe with a side-vented needle.)
8. L'assistante: Le localisateur d'apex doit être branché et vérifié, c'est bien ça ? (The apex locator must be connected and checked, is that right?)

10. L'assistante: Après la mise en forme, je prépare les pointes de papier et les cônes de gutta. (After shaping, I prepare the paper points and the gutta cones.)
11. Le dentiste: Très bien. Et mélangez le ciment endodontique juste avant l'obturation. (Very good. And mix the endodontic sealer right before obturation.)
12. L'assistante: Je prépare aussi les condenseurs et la source de chaleur pour couper les excédents. (I also prepare the pluggers and the heat source to cut off the excess.)
13. Le dentiste: Parfait. Et pour la fermeture : un matériau provisoire étanche et du coton sec. (Perfect. And for closure: a tight temporary material and dry cotton.)
