Prenons un exemple pour rédiger une ordonnance ensemble, en suivant le modèle que je vous ai montré. (Let's take an example and write a prescription together, following the template I showed you.)
Nous allons prescrire de l'amoxicilline, sous le nom commercial Clamoxyl, et du Doliprane. (We are going to prescribe amoxicillin under the brand name Clamoxyl, and Doliprane.)
L'amoxicilline est prescrite à une dose de deux à trois grammes par jour, pendant sept jours. (Amoxicillin is prescribed at a dose of two to three grams per day for seven days.)
Le Doliprane est prescrit à une dose de trois grammes par jour. (Doliprane is prescribed at a dose of three grams per day.)
Commencez par l'identification : le nom du praticien, le nom du patient et la date de l'ordonnance. (Start with identification: the practitioner's name, the patient's name, and the date of the prescription.)
L'ordonnance doit être personnalisée pour le patient, qui l'utilisera pour acheter les médicaments en pharmacie. (The prescription must be personalized for the patient, who will use it to purchase the medicines at the pharmacy.)
Les médicaments sont listés par ordre d'importance, en commençant par la marque commerciale. (Medications are listed in order of importance, beginning with the brand name.)
Pour l'amoxicilline, il faut prescrire la boîte de un gramme : deux comprimés par jour, matin et soir, pendant sept jours. (For amoxicillin, prescribe the one-gram box: two tablets per day, morning and evening, for seven days.)
Pour le Doliprane, il faut choisir la boîte de un gramme et prendre trois comprimés par jour, un à chaque repas. (For Doliprane, choose the one-gram box and take three tablets per day, one at each meal.)
N'oubliez pas de terminer l'ordonnance par votre signature. (Don't forget to end the prescription with your signature.)

Writing a medical prescription in France
1. L’assistant: Bonjour docteure, je vais vous expliquer comment rédiger une ordonnance médicale en France. (Hello Doctor — I'll explain how to write a medical prescription in France.)
2. La dentiste: Parfait, merci. Je veux être sûre de tout faire correctement. (Perfect, thank you. I want to make sure I do everything correctly.)
3. L’assistant: D’abord, en haut à gauche, vous notez votre nom et votre prénom en tant que chirurgienne-dentiste. (First, in the top left, write your surname and given name as a dental surgeon.)
4. La dentiste: D’accord. Et qu’est-ce que je mets en haut à droite ? (Okay. And what should I put in the top right?)
5. L’assistant: En haut à droite, vous inscrivez la date, le nom de la clinique, l’adresse du cabinet, le code postal et la ville. (In the top right, write the date, the clinic name, the office address, the postal code and the city.)
6. La dentiste: Très bien. Et ensuite, dans la partie inférieure ? (Very good. And then, in the lower section?)
7. L’assistant: En bas, il faut indiquer le nom et le prénom du patient, son âge et, s’il s’agit d’un enfant, son poids en kilos. (At the bottom, indicate the patient's surname and given name, their age and, if it's a child, their weight in kilograms.)
