Before writing a prescription, check the patient’s allergies and ask whether the patient is pregnant. On the prescription, indicate the date, the patient’s name, the dosage and the route of administration. For simple pain, Doliprane is often suggested. In the case of infection, the dentist can prescribe Clamoxyl if it is appropriate. Don’t forget your signature and your RPPS.

Allergie avant prescription antibiotique
Dr Martin (chirurgien-dentiste): Show Avant de rédiger l'ordonnance, je dois vérifier : êtes-vous allergique, surtout à la pénicilline ou à l'amoxicilline ?
(Before writing the prescription, I have to check: are you allergic, especially to penicillin or amoxicillin?)

Merci pour les informations. Avec une allergie à la pénicilline, on ne doit pas prescrire Clamoxyl (amoxicilline). Pour l’antalgique : Doliprane 1 g, 1 comprimé toutes les 8 heures si douleur, maximum 3 g par jour (ne pas dépasser).
Pour l’antibiotique, je propose Dalacine (clindamycine) 300 mg — 1 gélule matin, midi et soir pendant 7 jours, voie orale. Indiquer "à prendre après les repas" si possible.
Sur l’ordonnance : nom et âge du patient, date, mon nom, adresse du cabinet, RPPS, puis ma signature.

Hello Léa,
Thank you for the information. With a penicillin allergy, we must not prescribe Clamoxyl (amoxicillin). For the painkiller: Doliprane 1 g, 1 tablet every 8 hours if in pain, maximum 3 g per day (do not exceed).
For the antibiotic, I suggest Dalacine (clindamycin) 300 mg — 1 capsule morning, noon and evening for 7 days, by mouth. Indicate "to be taken after meals" if possible.
On the prescription: the patient’s name and age, date, my name, practice address, RPPS, then my signature.
