Exercise 1: Dialogue

Instruction: Read the dialogue and answer the questions.

Guillaume doit rejoindre ses amis dans le centre-ville mais ne trouve pas la sortie du parking. Il demande de l'aide à une passante.

Guillaume has to meet his friends in the town centre but cannot find the exit from the car park. He asks a passerby for help.
1. Guillaume: Excusez-moi, pouvez-vous m'aider ? Je me suis garé un peu plus loin et je ne trouve pas la sortie piétonne. (Excuse me, can you help me? I parked a little further and I can't find the pedestrian exit.)
2. Lou: Bien sûr ! Ce n’est pas très simple. Allez jusqu'à l’ascenseur, au fond du couloir. (Of course! It's not very simple. Go to the elevator at the end of the corridor.)
3. Guillaume: Au fond du couloir, c’est ça ? (At the end of the corridor, is it this one?)
4. Lou: Oui, exactement. Prenez l’ascenseur jusqu’au premier étage. (Yes, exactly. Take the elevator to the first floor.)
5. Guillaume: D’accord. Après, je fais quoi ? (Alright. After that, what do I do?)
6. Lou: À gauche, il y a une porte. Entrez et montez les escaliers. (To the left, there is a door. Enter and go up the stairs.)
7. Guillaume: Une fois en haut, je dois faire quoi ? (Once at the top, what should I do?)
8. Lou: À droite, il y a des panneaux avec les directions. Où voulez-vous aller ? (To the right, there are signs with directions. Where do you want to go?)
9. Guillaume: Je vais à la place Stanislas. (I'm going to Place Stanislas.)
10. Lou: Dans ce cas, passez par la porte rouge. (In that case, go through the red door.)
11. Guillaume: Où se trouve cette porte rouge ? (Where is this red door?)
12. Lou: Elle est à côté des panneaux. Vous arrivez dans la rue, puis traversez la route. (It is next to the signs. You arrive at the street, then cross the road.)
13. Guillaume: Merci beaucoup ! Je ne savais pas comment faire sans votre aide. (Thank you very much! I didn't know what to do without your help.)
14. Lou: Je vous en prie. Bonne soirée ! (You're welcome. Have a good evening!)
