1. Ulf: Wie findest du die neue Chefin? (What do you think of the new boss?)
2. Nina: Ich glaube, sie ist eigentlich eine nette Person, aber sie lächelt nie. (I think she’s actually a nice person, but she never smiles.)
3. Ulf: Genau! Ich verstehe nicht, warum sie immer so unfreundlich aussieht. (Exactly! I don’t understand why she always looks so unfriendly.)
4. Nina: Vielleicht denkt sie, sie muss Autorität zeigen und ist deshalb unfreundlich. (Maybe she thinks she has to show authority and is therefore unfriendly.)
5. Ulf: Das macht keinen Sinn. Herr Müller hat immer freundlich geschaut. (That doesn’t make any sense. Mr. Müller always looked friendly.)
