Die beliebteste Blume in Deutschland ist die Tulpe. Sie ist in vielen Gärten und auch auf Märkten sehr verbreitet und symbolisiert Fröhlichkeit und den Beginn des Frühlings. Die Lieblingsblume des Gärtners im Video ist die Westerlandrose.
The most popular flower in Germany is the tulip. It is very common in many gardens and also in markets and symbolises cheerfulness and the beginning of spring. The gardener’s favourite flower in the video is the Westerland rose.

Sabrina and Christian are planning the new garden for their house.
1. Christian: Was meinst du? Wo fangen wir an? (What do you think? Where do we start?)
2. Sabrina: Die Grassamen habe ich schon gekauft. Ein großer Rasen ist für mich am wichtigsten. (I have already bought the grass seeds. A large lawn is the most important thing for me.)
3. Christian: Okay. Meine Lieblingsblumen sind Tulpen. Machen wir hinten links ein Tulpenbeet? (Okay. My favorite flowers are tulips. Shall we make a tulip bed at the back left?)
4. Sabrina: Das klingt gut. Tulpen muss man nicht oft gießen und sie sind gut für Insekten. (That sounds good. You don't have to water tulips often and they are good for insects.)
5. Christian: Was hältst du davon, wenn wir an den Baum eine Schaukel hängen? (What do you think about hanging a swing on the tree?)
6. Sabrina: Ich finde das nicht so gut. Niemand setzt sich darauf und es sieht nicht schön aus. (I don't think that's so good. Nobody sits on it and it doesn't look nice.)
7. Christian: Vielleicht hast du Recht. Aber wir müssen auf jeden Fall noch Rosen pflanzen. (Maybe you are right. But we definitely still have to plant roses.)
8. Sabrina: Welche Rose möchtest du pflanzen? (Which rose would you like to plant?)
9. Christian: Die Westerlandrose. Die Farbe mag ich besonders gerne. (The Westerland rose. I especially like the color.)
10. Sabrina: Die braucht aber viel Wasser. (But it needs a lot of water.)
11. Christian: Das ist kein Problem. Gießen macht mir Spaß. (That's not a problem. Watering is fun for me.)
