Woher kommst du?

Woher kommst du wirklich. Was ist das Problem mit dieser Frage? Die Reporterin ist in Deutschland geboren ist und bekommt diese Frage oft gestellt. Sie stellt diese Frage nun anderen Leuten.
Where do you really come from? What is the problem with this question? The reporter was born in Germany and is often asked this question. She now asks this question to other people.

Sprecherin: Wenn es eine Statistik darüber gäbe, welche Frage mir am häufigsten gestellt wird, wäre „Woher kommst du?“ ganz vorne mit dabei. (Speaker (female): If there were a statistic about which question I get asked most often, “Where are you from?” would be right at the top.)

1. Sven: Entschuldigung. Sprechen Sie Englisch? (Excuse me. Do you speak English?)
2. Maria: Nein, ich spreche kein Englisch. Ich spreche Deutsch, Spanisch und Französisch. (No, I don't speak English. I speak German, Spanish, and French.)
3. Sven: Woher kommen Sie? (Where are you from?)
4. Maria: Ich komme aus Hamburg. Woher kommen Sie? (I am from Hamburg. Where are you from?)
5. Sven: Ich komme aus Dänemark, aber ich lebe schon sehr lange in Berlin. Warum sprechen Sie Spanisch? (I am from Denmark, but I have been living in Berlin for a very long time. Why do you speak Spanish?)
6. Maria: Ich spreche Spanisch, weil meine Mutter aus Mexiko kommt. (I speak Spanish because my mother is from Mexico.)
