In Deutschland ist Trinkgeld nur dann steuerfrei, wenn es der Gast direkt dem Arbeitnehmer gibt, während Trinkgeld an den Chef als steuerpflichtiges Einkommen gilt.
In Germany, tips are only tax-free if given directly by the guest to the employee, whereas tips given to the boss are considered taxable income.
