Exercise 1: Match a word

Instruction: Match each beginning with its correct ending.

Im Juli mache ich einen Ausflug ans Meer. (In July I go on a trip to the sea.)
Im Frühling beginne ich wieder mehr draußen zu sein. (In spring I start to be outside more again.)
Nächste Woche ist mein Geburtstag im März. (Next week is my birthday in March.)
Ich bevorzuge den Winter, weil ich Ruhe mag. (I prefer winter, because I like peace and quiet.)

Office info (as of March): Our team is planning appointments for the whole year. In spring, many projects begin. In April and May the weather is often mild, in summer it is warm. Please check your vacation times early.

For planning: In July we are going on a trip. In September a new training round begins. Winter is often cold; in December the office is less staffed between the holidays. If you travel in January or February, please expect snow and longer travel times.

2. Du möchtest einen Termin beim Friseur machen. Die Person am Telefon fragt: „In welchem Monat passt es?“ Antworte und nenne einen Monat. (Verwende: der Monat, im Mai, im Oktober)

(You want to make an appointment at the hairdresser. The person on the phone asks: “In which month does it fit?” Answer and name a month. (Use: der Monat, im Mai, im Oktober))

Instruction: Write 4 or 5 sentences: In which months do you have appointments or vacation, and which season do you prefer?
