Exercise 1: Word bingo

Exercise 2: Dialogue

Instruction: 1. Read the dialogue in pairs. 2. Memorize the phrases by covering the translation. 3. Cover one speaker’s lines, give alternative answers with your teacher, and write them down.

3. Timo: Er trägt eine Brille, aber seine Haare sind braun. (He wears glasses, but his hair is brown.)
4. Laura: Braune Haare? Meinst du den großen Tim, der auch Basketball spielt? (Brown hair? Do you mean the tall Tim who also plays basketball?)
5. Timo: Nein, er ist nicht groß. Er ist eher klein. (No, he is not tall. He is rather short.)
6. Laura: Also, er ist klein, hat braune Haare und trägt eine Brille. Hat er einen Bart? (So, he is short, has brown hair, and wears glasses. Does he have a beard?)
7. Timo: Nein, er hat keinen Bart. Besser kann ich ihn nicht beschreiben. (No, he does not have a beard. I cannot describe him better than that.)
8. Laura: Okay, vielleicht kenne ich ihn nicht. (Okay, maybe I don't know him.)
9. Timo: Das kann sein. (That might be the case.)
