Hay muchos tipos de hobbies y cada persona puede elegir el suyo. (There are many kinds of hobbies, and everyone can choose their own.)
Es importante escoger un hobby que te guste y puedas hacer bien. (It’s important to pick a hobby you like and can do well.)
A veces, aprender un hobby nuevo puede ser difícil. (Sometimes learning a new hobby can be challenging.)
Pero vale la pena practicarlo. (But it’s worth the practice.)
¡Quien tiene un hobby, tiene un tesoro! (Whoever has a hobby has a treasure!)

Exercise 2: Dialogue

Instruction: Read the dialogue and answer the questions.

Es lunes por la mañana. Dos compañeros están en la cocina de la oficina, tomando un café antes de una reunión.

It is Monday morning. Two colleagues are in the office kitchen, having a coffee before a meeting.
1. Javier: ¿Tenemos tiempo para tomar un café antes de la reunión? (Do we have time to grab a coffee before the meeting?)
2. Claudia: Sí, claro. Todavía queda un poco de tiempo. ¿Cómo estás? (Yes, of course. There’s still a little time left. How are you?)
3. Javier: Bien, un poco ocupada esta mañana. ¿Y tú? (Good, a bit busy this morning. And you?)
4. Claudia: Lo mismo. He estado revisando unos documentos y me viene bien un descanso. ¿Qué tal el fin de semana? (Same here. I’ve been going through some documents and a break sounds good. How was your weekend?)
5. Javier: Estuvo tranquilo. He leído un libro muy bonito. (It was quiet. I read a really nice book.)
6. Claudia: ¿Te gusta leer? (Do you like reading?)
7. Javier: Sí, mucho. También hago fotos cuando puedo. Tengo una cámara nueva y estoy aprendiendo. (Yes, a lot. I also take photos when I can. I have a new camera and I’m learning how to use it.)
8. Claudia: Qué bien. Valencia es un lugar perfecto para eso. ¿Has hecho fotos por el centro? (That’s great. Valencia is a perfect place for that. Have you taken photos around the city center?)
9. Javier: Sí, algunas. (Yes, a few.)
10. Claudia: Suena genial. Yo no suelo hacer fotos, pero me encantan las películas. El sábado vi Volver, de Almodóvar. (Sounds great. I don’t usually take photos, but I love movies. On Saturday I watched Volver by Almodóvar.)
11. Javier: ¡Me encantan sus películas! Yo también las veo a veces, especialmente por la noche. (I love his movies! I watch them sometimes too, especially at night.)
12. Claudia: Bueno, ya es hora. ¿Vamos a la reunión? (Well, it’s time now. Shall we go to the meeting?)
13. Javier: Sí, vamos. Gracias por el café. (Yes, let’s go. Thanks for the coffee.)
