Acabo de venir de hacer una súper compra, principalmente en Mercadona, y os la voy a enseñar. (I’ve just come back from doing a huge grocery shop, mainly at Mercadona, and I’m going to show it to you.)
Masas de pizza, de cereales y normales; tortillas de avena y tortillas normales; taquitos de jamón normales y de cebo ibérico. (Pizza doughs, cereal ones and regular ones; oat tortillas and regular tortillas; regular ham cubes and Iberian grain-fed ham cubes.)
Mi combo favorito: bebida de soja y café sin azúcares añadidos. (My favorite combo: soy drink and coffee with no added sugars.)
El secreto para estar fuerte: anchoítas en aceite de oliva, anacardos tostados sin sal y garbanzos en conserva. (The secret to being strong: little anchovies in olive oil, roasted unsalted cashews, and canned chickpeas.)
Mi tomate frito favorito, en aceite de oliva virgen extra: conservas y atún en aceite de oliva sin sal. (My favorite fried tomato sauce, in extra virgin olive oil: preserves and tuna in salt-free olive oil.)

Luis and Clara at the supermarket with the shopping list
1. Luis: ¿Tienes la lista de la compra? (Do you have the shopping list?)
2. Clara: Sí, la tengo aquí. Primero necesitamos jamón para la comida de mañana. (Yes, I have it here. First we need ham for tomorrow’s meal.)
3. Luis: Genial. ¿Cogemos jamón? (Great. Shall we get ham?)
4. Clara: Sí, el normal, que el ibérico es muy caro. Después, la carne. (Yes, the regular one, because the Iberian one is very expensive. Next, the meat.)
5. Luis: ¿Carne picada? (Minced meat?)
6. Clara: Sí. ¡Ah! También necesitamos queso. (Yes. Oh! We also need cheese.)
7. Luis: Aquí hay uno bueno. ¿Prefieres el de vaca o el de cabra? (Here’s a good one. Do you prefer cow’s cheese or goat’s cheese?)
8. Clara: Me da igual. El de vaca, que es más barato. (I don’t mind. Cow’s, because it’s cheaper.)
9. Luis: ¿Fruta? En la lista hay manzanas y plátanos. (Fruit? On the list there are apples and bananas.)
10. Clara: Cogemos también calabacines, que están de oferta. (Let’s also get zucchini, they’re on sale.)
11. Luis: Falta el tomate frito para los espaguetis. (We’re missing the tomato sauce for the spaghetti.)
12. Clara: Ya está todo. Vamos rápido a la caja, ¡que hay cola! (That’s everything. Let’s quickly go to the checkout, there’s a line!)
