Exercise 1: Match a word

Instruction: Match each beginning with its correct ending.

Mi scusi, dov'è la piazza principale, per favore? (Excuse me, where is the main square, please?)
Il parco è vicino alla stazione della metropolitana. (The park is near the subway station.)
Per andare al centro, vada sempre dritto e poi giri a destra. (To go downtown, go straight and then turn right.)

Benvenuti nella nostra città! Per arrivare al , dalla stazione dei treni andate dritto per circa dieci minuti. Davanti a voi c’è una grande con una fontana; qui l’ufficio informazioni turistiche.

Se cercate un po’ di verde, il principale è al centro. Dalla piazza girate a e proseguite sempre dritto fino al semaforo. Il parco è al museo di arte moderna. Se vi perdete, potete alla piazza centrale: è il punto più semplice per in albergo o alla stazione.
Welcome to our city! To get to the city centre from the train station, go straight ahead for about ten minutes. In front of you there is a large square with a fountain; here you can find the tourist information office.

If you are looking for a bit of greenery, the main park is near the centre. From the square, turn right and continue straight on until the traffic light. The park is opposite the modern art museum. If you get lost, go back to the central square: it is the easiest point to return to the hotel or to the station.

1. Sei a Milano per lavoro. Devi andare alla direzione dell’azienda partner, ma non trovi l’edificio. Fermi una persona per strada e chiedi dove è. (Usa: Mi scusi, la direzione, vicino / lontano)
