I’m letting you know that part of the imported order from Shenzhen is currently held up at Roissy for customs clearance. The freight forwarder is requesting the commercial invoice, the delivery note and proof of payment (or a receipt), as well as details of the VAT applied.

Without these documents, they won’t forward the parcel and we risk additional fees. Can you send them to me today and confirm whether the negotiated rate includes insurance?

Merci pour l’alerte. Je peux t’envoyer aujourd’hui la facture commerciale et le bon de livraison en PDF, ainsi que la preuve de paiement (capture du virement) qui fait office de reçu. Sur la facture la TVA est indiquée séparément ; si la douane veut un format précis, dis-moi lequel et je le demanderai au fournisseur.

Pour le tarif négocié, le fournisseur m’a confirmé que l’assurance transport est incluse jusqu’à l’arrivée à Roissy, mais pas pour le dernier kilomètre. Si tu veux, nous pouvons souscrire une assurance complémentaire pour couvrir ce trajet afin d’éviter tout risque et frais additionnels.

Tiens-moi au courant si le transitaire donne une échéance pour le dédouanement.

Thank you for the heads-up. I can send you the commercial invoice and the delivery note in PDF today, as well as the proof of payment (bank transfer screenshot) which serves as a receipt. On the invoice, the VAT is shown separately; if customs requires a specific format, tell me which one and I will request it from the supplier.

Regarding the negotiated rate, the supplier confirmed to me that transport insurance is included up to arrival at Roissy, but not for the last mile. If you like, we can take out additional insurance to cover this leg in order to avoid any risk and extra charges.

Keep me posted if the freight forwarder gives a deadline for customs clearance.
