À partir de ce week-end, le club rappelle ses consignes avant toute . Les élèves doivent porter une adaptée et un pour les cours en mer formée. From this weekend onwards, the club is reminding everyone of its instructions before any launch into the water. Students must wear a suitable wetsuit and a life jacket for lessons in rough seas. The instructor only has groups paddle out after checking the flag and the swimming area. In the event of swell or a strong drift, they may let beginners surf close to the shore in order to avoid collisions.

If you see someone lose their board or hear a call for help, alert reception immediately. A first-aid kit is available at the station, but rescue is still provided by the municipal lifeguards. After the session, warm up quickly and report any discomfort or seasickness: anticipating makes it possible to adapt the equipment and organize a safe return to shore.

Ici Thomas du Surf Club Côte Basque. Pour demain à 8h30, la séance est maintenue, mais il y aura de la houle et un peu de dérive. On reste dans la zone de baignade (drapeaux) et on se tient à l'écart des rochers.

Merci pour l’info — je confirme ma présence demain à 8h30 et j’arriverai vers 8h15 pour l’équipement et le briefing. J’ai bien noté qu’on reste dans la zone de baignade et qu’il faut éviter les rochers à cause de la houle et de la dérive.

Petite question : fournissez-vous la combinaison et le gilet de sauvetage ou dois‑je apporter les miens ? Étant débutante, pouvez‑vous me prêter une planche plus stable pour ne pas gêner les autres ?

Thanks for the info — I confirm my attendance tomorrow at 8:30 and I’ll arrive around 8:15 for the gear and the briefing. I’ve noted that we’re staying in the swimming zone and that we need to avoid the rocks because of the swell and the drift.

Quick question: do you provide the wetsuit and the life jacket or should I bring mine? As a beginner, could you lend me a more stable board so I don’t get in the way of the others?
