Note d'information du cabinet médical : traitements et malaise vagal
Le cabinet informe ses patients : en cas de malaise vagal (chaleur, station debout prolongée), , hydratez-vous et attendez quelques minutes. Si les symptômes persistent ou se répètent, rapidement, car il faut parfois vérifier la tension et le rythme cardiaque. Ce malaise n'est pas nécessairement lié à une ; évitez donc l' .

The doctor specifies that the treatment relieves symptoms; however, it may cause drowsiness: do not drive if you feel tired. In case of an adverse effect, contact the practice or your pharmacist.

Dr Lefèvre (médecin): Show Alors, M. Martin, d'après l'examen, cela ressemble à une infection respiratoire haute : rien de grave mais il faut traiter et surveiller.

Dr Lefèvre (médecin): Show Je vous prescris des comprimés et un sirop pour la toux : suivez la prescription pendant cinq jours, prenez les comprimés pendant le repas et évitez l'alcool si vous prenez le sédatif le soir.
(I’m prescribing tablets and a cough syrup: follow the prescription for five days, take the tablets with a meal, and avoid alcohol if you take the sedative in the evening.)
M. Martin (patient): Show Le sédatif, c'est comme un somnifère ? Devrai-je éviter de conduire demain matin ?

Merci pour votre message. Je vous confirme que j'ai consulté mon médecin mardi. Il évoque un malaise vagal, probablement lié à la chaleur et au fait d'être restée debout trop longtemps. Il m'a conseillé de bien m'hydrater et de manger régulièrement. Il n'a pas prescrit d'arrêt de travail, mais a demandé une prise de sang et un électrocardiogramme par précaution.
Actuellement, je ne prends que du paracétamol ponctuellement en cas de maux de tête ; le médecin m'a déconseillé les sédatifs et les somnifères cette semaine afin que je reste vigilante. Je n'ai donc pas de feuille de maladie à transmettre pour le moment.
Par conséquent, je peux revenir au bureau dès demain, mais je préférerais éviter les réunions debout et prendre des pauses courtes les deux premiers jours. Je suis disponible pour un rendez‑vous avec la médecine du travail si vous le jugez utile.

Hello Ms Martin,
Thank you for your message. I confirm that I consulted my doctor on Tuesday. He mentioned a vasovagal episode, probably linked to the heat and having remained standing for too long. He advised me to stay well hydrated and to eat regularly. He did not prescribe any sick leave, but requested a blood test and an electrocardiogram as a precaution.
At the moment, I only take paracetamol occasionally in case of headaches; the doctor advised against sedatives and sleeping pills this week so that I stay alert. I therefore do not have a sick note to send at the moment.
Therefore, I can return to the office as of tomorrow, but I would prefer to avoid standing meetings and take short breaks during the first two days. I am available for an appointment with occupational health if you consider it useful.
