W Polsce można korzystać z kilku bibliotek cyfrowych. Polona to duża biblioteka cyfrowa, otwarta całą dobę. Daje nieodpłatny dostęp do wielu materiałów. Można tam znaleźć książki, czasopisma, mapy, zdjęcia oraz e-booki i audiobooki. Wiele materiałów jest udostępnianych w wysokiej jakości.

Wypożyczalnia Academica to system międzybiblioteczny. Użytkownicy z ponad 1700 instytucji mogą korzystać ze zbiorów cyfrowych Biblioteki Narodowej. Są tam też nowsze publikacje, także objęte prawem autorskim. Europeana to europejska biblioteka cyfrowa. Zawiera książki, muzykę, dzieła sztuki i materiały z muzeów i archiwów z całej Europy, także z Polski.
