What’s the key difference?

These three Polish verbs often translate as “manage / run / drive / deal with”, but the most important thing to learn is:

• zajmować się + Instrumental (narzędnik) → “to deal with / take care of” (a responsibility/task)
• kierować + Instrumental (narzędnik) → “to manage/lead” (people/process) or “to drive” (a vehicle)
• prowadzić + Accusative (biernik) → “to run” (a business) or “to drive” (a vehicle)

After you pick the right verb, the case is mechanical:

• kierować samochodem = focus on controlling/steering (very common; also formal)
• prowadzić samochód = drive/operate the car (also common; neutral)
• kierować ruchem ulicznym = direct traffic (only kierować here)
