Perfect future: pójdę, zrobię

The simple future is used to say that something will be done (and the action will be finished), and we express it with one verb.

What you are learning here: the simple future with perfective verbs

In Polish, many future actions are expressed with a perfective verb in the present-looking form.

przeczytać → przeczytam = “I will read (and finish)”
napisać → napiszę = “I will write (and complete)”
nauczyć się → nauczę się = “I will learn (successfully)”

Key idea: with these verbs, the forms in the table refer to the future, not the present.

Meaning check: “will do” vs “will be doing”

Perfective future (this topic) = one completed result.
Typical English translation: “I’ll read / I’ll write / I’ll learn”.

How to choose the right ending: 3 practical conjugation groups

You don’t “build” the future with będę here. You pick the correct personal ending.

The most common learner trap: mixing up “ty” and “wy”

These look similar, so check the ending:

ty (you, singular) → -sz / -esz / -ysz

wy (you, plural) → -cie / -ecie / -ycie
Przeczytacie wiadomość?

Wrong forms to avoid:

~~Przeczytaszcie~~ (mixed endings)
~~Nauczemy się~~ (should be nauczymy się)

How to handle “się” (nauczyć się)

Się is part of the verb meaning: “to learn” (for yourself / to acquire).
In neutral word order, keep it right after the verb form:

Nauczę się zasad.
Nauczysz się tego szybko.
Nauczymy się gry przed spotkaniem.

Don’t attach się to the subject:

~~Ja się nauczę zasad~~ (possible, but marked/emphatic; not the default you want at A2)

Fast self-check before you speak

Is the verb perfective (result/completion)? przeczytać, napisać, nauczyć się
Choose the correct row: ja/ty/on…
Match the ending to the group: -m/-sz or -ę/-esz or -ę/-ysz
If it’s się, place it right after the verb.
