Czas przyszły dokonany: pójdę, zrobię

Czas przyszły prosty służy do powiedzenia, że coś się zrobi (i zakończy tę czynność), a wyrażamy go jednym czasownikiem.

(Future simple is used to say that something will be done (and the action will be completed), and we express it with one verb.)

What this table shows: perfective “simple future”

These verbs are perfective (dokonan(e)). They talk about one completed result in the future.

  • Jutro przeczytam raport. = I will read it (and finish).
  • Wieczorem napiszemy zaproszenie. = We will write it (a finished invitation).
  • Nauczysz się gry. = You will learn it (reach the “learned” point).

Key idea: in Polish, many perfective verbs use the present-form endings to express future.

Step 1: choose the right verb (perfective vs imperfective)

  • Perfective = completed task / achieved goal → use this table.
  • Imperfective = process / duration / repetition → different future (usually będę + infinitive).

Self-check: Can you add “and finish it” to the meaning? If yes, perfective fits.

Step 2: build the future form (3 common patterns)

Find the pattern your verb follows, then add the endings for the subject.

Endings you should focus on (quick scan)

Once you know the pattern, the personal endings are predictable.

What to pay attention to (common mistakes)

  • Don’t add “będę” with these perfective verbs.
    Będę przeczytam raport. → Przeczytam raport.
  • Watch spelling in 1st person singular: it’s -ę, not -e.
    napisze (he/she will write) vs napiszęd (wrong) → napiszę (I will write)
  • “się” stays with the verb (usually after it).
    się nauczę (possible in some styles, but don’t default to it) → nauczę się
  • One form = one completed event. If you mean “I’ll be reading for a while”, choose imperfective instead.

Mini checklist before you speak

  1. Meaning: Do I mean a finished result? (Yes → perfective.)
  2. Verb: Do I have the perfective form? (przeczytać / napisać / nauczyć się)
  3. Pattern: Is it -m/-sz, -ę/-esz, or -ę/-isz/-ysz?
  4. Ending: Match the subject (ja/ty/on…)

Goal: you can quickly produce forms like zrobię, pójdę, napiszemy, nauczysz się when planning tasks and commitments.
